When can you claim compensation for a delayed flight?

You may be entitled to financial compensation if all of the following conditions are met:

You arrived at your final destination 3 or more hours late.

Your flight is protected by Regulation 261/2004.

Your flight took place in the last 5 years.

We also review complex cases outside Regulation 261/2004

How much can you claim for a delayed flight?

Under Regulation (EC) 261/2004, compensation for a delayed flight is calculated on the distance of the full journey (including connections):

Fixed compensation by distance:

Flights of up to 1,500 km

250€ per passenger ✈ plus expenses

EU flights over 1,500 km and other flights from 1,500 to 3,500 km

400€ per passenger ✈ plus expenses

Flights of more than 3,500 km

600€ per passenger ✈ plus expenses

* These amounts are per person.

* Distance is calculated on the full journey booked on the same ticket, not on a single leg. That means from the first departure airport to the final destination on your booking, regardless of the number of connections.

* In some cases, if the airline offers alternative transport and the difference in arrival time is small, compensation can be reduced by 50% (to 125 €, 200 € or 300 €).

We claim more than the basic compensation when your case allows it.

We don't limit ourselves to standard compensation.

Not every air claim is limited to the €250, €400 or €600 under Regulation (EC) 261/2004. We check whether your case allows claiming more.

We also review expenses, luggage and other damages.

Depending on the incident, there may be additional claimable amounts. That is why we analyse every file individually.

We seek the maximum possible compensation.

We don't process claims in bulk. We identify every claimable item and claim the maximum legally due.
