Tras las distintas olas del covid, surge incertidumbre sobre los requisitos de viaje dentro de la Unión Europea. Los pasajeros dudan de si podrán volar si no han recibido ninguna vacuna o sin haber recibido la tercera dosis.
A partir de este mes de febrero, cambia la normativa de entrada de muchos países a causa de la pandemia del coronavirus, así como la validez del certificado.
¿Qué acredita el certificado covid de la Unión Europea?
El certificado covid confirma que una persona:
- Ha sido vacunado contra el coronavirus.
- Ha pasado el coronavirus.
- Dispone de una PCR negativa 72 horas antes o test de antígenos 24 horas antes.
Dentro de la Unión Europea las personas que cuenten con el pasaporte covid no necesitarán presentar ningún test negativo ni tampoco guardar cuarentena a la llegada al destino.
Cómo viajar con el certificado Covid y cuánto tiempo es válido
Presentando el certificado covid digital de la UE el viajero debe, en principio, quedar exento de las restricciones a la libre circulación: los Estados miembros deben abstenerse de imponer restricciones adicionales de viaje a las personas titulares del certificado digital.
A excepción de que dichas restricciones sean necesarias y proporcionadas para salvaguardar la salud pública.
Además, desde este pasado martes 1 de febrero, la validez del certificado Covid pasa a ser de 9 meses. Teniendo en cuenta esa caducidad, se considerarán todos aquellos documentos con pauta completa de vacunación -sin la dosis de refuerzo-.
¿Puedo viajar a otro país de la UE los ciudadanos que aún no se hayan vacunado?
Sí. El certificado COVID digital de la UE facilita la libre circulación dentro de la UE. No es una condición previa para la libre circulación, que es un derecho fundamental en la UE.
No obstante, si no tienes el certificado, puede que tengas que respetar ciertas restricciones, como las pruebas diagnósticas o la cuarentena. Los Estados miembros pueden introducir restricciones de viaje. Consulta la página Re-open EU para conocer las últimas novedades.
Para garantizar que no existe discriminación hacia las personas no vacunadas, el certificado COVID digital de la UE también incluye los certificados de pruebas diagnósticas y los certificados de recuperación de la COVID-19. De esta manera, todo el mundo puede disfrutar de las ventajas del certificado COVID digital de la UE.
