Los problemas de equipaje suponen la tercera causa de reclamación a compañías aéreas, por volumen, por detrás de la cancelación y retraso de vuelos. En equipajes, son frecuentes la rotura del equipaje, abolladuras en la maleta e, incluso, los robos y retrasos.
Desde Wings to Claim, hemos recopilado en una lista las incidencias más comunes que nuestros clientes pasajeros sufren con su equipaje y cómo deben reclamar a la aerolínea.
Incidencias de equipaje facturado
1. Abolladura en la maleta
A pesar de disponer de las conocidas “maletas rígidas” en las cintas de facturación, el equipaje suele sufrir golpes y abolladuras u otras imperfecciones.
Desde Wings to Claim aconsejamos revisar el estado del equipaje una vez recogido y, en caso de llegar dañado, sea cual sea el motivo, acudir al mostrador de la aerolínea para rellenar el PIR (Parte de Irregularidad de Equipaje) donde quede constancia del deterioro del equipaje y poder iniciar una reclamación judicial.
2. Objetos robados o daños en el interior del equipaje facturado
Aunque no es lo más habitual, ciertos viajeros nos informan de que les falta algún objeto en su maleta o, incluso, que a causa de los golpes sufridos durante su transporte, tienen dañados objetos de gran valor.
Para evitar robos, son muchos los viajeros que embalan sus maletas antes de pasar por los mostradores de facturación. En el caso de que los objetos hayan quedado dañados, para poder proceder a una reclamación judicial es necesario rellenar previamente una declaración de valor al facturar. De esta forma, se podrá recuperar el valor declarado del interior de la maleta.
3. Equipaje perdido o retrasado
Sin duda, uno de los problemas más frecuentes es verse en el destino sin la ropa, artículos de aseo, etc, que se había preparado. Ese retraso o pérdida definitiva del equipaje supone un problema y gasto añadido si este suceso se produce en el viaje de ida.
Cabe señalar que se considera equipaje retrasado cuando este es devuelto al viajero hasta 21 días después que tendría que haber aparecido por la cinta de equipajes del aeropuerto. Se considera equipaje perdido cuando no aparece nunca o se entrega pasados esos 21 días, y la indemnización total será de 1.400€ a 1.600€ aproximadamente (1.131 Derechos Especiales de Giro).
Para poder reclamar con garantías los problemas de equipaje citados en este artículo, siempre recomendamos rellenar el Parte de Irregularidad de Equipaje antes de abandonar el aeropuerto, además de guardar la tarjeta de embarque y lo tickets de compras derivadas de la incidencia aérea.
