A partir de hoy, 7 de enero, ya no son necesarias las pruebas Covid para poder embarcar hacia Inglaterra. Y, desde el próximo domingo 9 de enero, una vez en el destino, los viajeros completamente vacunados y menores de 18 años solo necesitarán una prueba rápida de antígenos, en lugar de tener que realizarse una PCR.
También eliminan el requisito de autoaislamiento a la llegada hasta recibir una PCR negativa para pasar a la realización de una prueba rápida de antígenos a más tardar al final del segundo día y, si es positivo, otra prueba de PCR.
A finales de noviembre Reino Unido recuperaba las mascarillas en interiores, los PCR en lugar de las pruebas de antígenos y las cuarentenas hasta conocer el resultado de las pruebas. Y el 7 de diciembre el gobierno reintrodujo los test antes de viajar.
En Inglaterra siguen vigentes hasta el 26 de enero las siguientes medidas:
- Llevar mascarilla en algunos espacios cerrados como supermercados -no en la hostelería- y en los colegios de secundaria
- Presentar un test negativo o un certificado de vacunación en grandes eventos
- Recomendación de trabajar desde casa.
A su vez, el gobierno ha informado que a partir del 11 de enero las personas sin síntomas que den positivo de Covid con un test de antígenos no tendrán que confirmar el resultado con una PCR, aunque deberán igualmente guardar cuarentena. Quienes tengan síntomas sí tendrán que obtener la confirmación y también confinarse.
Esto implica que se agiliza el periodo de aislamiento para los asintomáticos, que antes empezaba cuando se confirmaba el resultado por PCR y ahora se iniciará con el primer positivo, lo que permitirá que la gente se reincorpore antes al trabajo o a la escuela.
